Diploma project, 2016
As a student in type design and design admirer, my purpose for my diploma projet was to combine these two disciplines. Based on this, I first imagined the shapes of a new typeface. The font draws its inspiration from a mix between ink traps style fonts, like Bell Centennial or Tang, and digital letters. A mix between two different styles to create something new. At the same time, I drew the shapes of an object. I wanted it to be simple and to be able to remind the new typeface. With the help of a carpenter I was finally able to produce it.
This furniture is accompanied by the concept of portability. I imagined so that it can be assembled and disassembled very quickly. I also created a bag in order to carry it wherever you go. Finally, I made a brochure that explains the concept, the production process and even the materials used, written entirely with the new font.
The project is called K ōbu which means 'mineral' in Japanese.

Diploma Project, 2016
The typeface I designed for my diploma project. Named Kōbu, it draws its inspiration from a mix between ink traps style fonts, like Bell Centennial or Tang, and digital letters. I also designed some emojis based on the well known Apple emojis. The aim was to draw a funny and very recognizable alphabet.

A fictional response to the annual exhibition that takes place in Paris. I wanted to create something interactive between designers and participants. Each poster is divided into three parts in order too be manipulated as pieces of a puzzle. And each exhibitor will be provided with its own posters highlighting his work. I also designed a printed program, business cards and a website for this project.

"The influence of technology on design" – « L'influence de la technologie sur le design » – was the starting point of this project. As part of the typographic design program at ECV, Antonin and myself had to think about in what consists the impact of technology on design, more particularly on type design. For this, we collected many statements of experienced and interested people in this topic like Matthew Carter, Fred Smeijers, Peter Bilak… Finally, we made these declarations a great conversation and then printed in a newspaper.
